jimbobothy Posted March 6, 2021 Share Posted March 6, 2021 Hey all, I'm thinking of going down the Nordstrand BigSplits pickup route with my Warwick Streamer Stage 1 5er. I've never been a fan of active preamps on basses and often use the wick in bypass mode, preferring to eq etc via my board or amp. So this has led me to consider if I did go down this route to go fully passive, has anyone done this before, and if so what pots etc did you use? I've wired up loads of jazzes I've had in the past so could go for a V/V/T/T similar in control to the stacked pot jazzes (but using single pots of course). Any thoughts or suggestions folks? I also have a Thumb Broadneck fretless 5 I'd consider going down the same route, but that only has 3 holes, so it'd be V/V/T or V/B/T on that one.
