Paul Cooke
can you please give details of any you know of and review of how well they go if known I'm trying to get back into the scene and thought this page would be useful for people to gather up all the jam nights they know of. Gloucester and Cheltenham area appears to be dead going by web searches... so does anyone else know of any blues jam nights in this area? Happy Jack
Good suggestion, Paul, but listing details of jam sessions currently running won't really work ... most of them change on a fairly frequent basis. Might be better to post links to web-sites that either specialise in this sort of thing, e.g. http://www.bluesinlondon.com/ or which are run by specific venues/jammers, e.g. http://www.globaljam.biz/ http://www.spiceoflifesoho.com/ http://www.grey-horse.co.uk/gh/gh_welcome.php http://www.redliontwickenham.co.uk/ http://www.red-lion.info/ I've visited / jammed at all of those five venues within the last couple of months. martinbass7750
I'd be interested too - I've been attempting to put a blues band together in the gloucester area with a mate of mine for a while, but no luck finding other musicians so far. I can do backing... I could dig out my guitar and tune the bottom 4 strings DACD and play 7th chords to the progressions... or tune normally and double the bassline an octave higher... I've been meaning to get my guitar playing back up to scratch... no soloing or lead, just get the chords right and do the rhythm
