Designed to run directly into a power amp . I just got one ( fleabay ) may not be working , but Peavey USA have sent me all schematics / board placements / component lists. Say they have one in their reception area at Peavey USA from 1980 ! Got a great amp repair man , who will look at it if it is not working when it arrives and the Pandemic is over !. Preston Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Hi Pete, How did it go with getting your Peavey Max 100 preamp working? I have an old one that I bought in Alaska in 2009. I just pulled it out of storage after not using for about 20 years. It lights up, but I can't get any sound out of it. It is so obsolete, but I used to love running it into my Fender Blues Jr. I thought if there was a way to get it working again, it might be fun. Quote

Preston Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Cool...I am not sure why mine isn't working. I know nothing about electronics. I opened it up and it looked brand new inside. I am sure I will need to clean the pods, but maybe some electronic component isn't working. Quote
