Wenge or Maple Neck

Hi All,

 

just saw this really interesting thread on necks and wanted to ask if any one had experience with a wenge neck but maple fretboard?

 

I love the feel of a wenge neck but the look of a birds eye maple fretboard and considering ordering a bass with this combination. 
 

just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this.
