Jimothey Posted October 20, 2019 Share Posted October 20, 2019 Iām trying to wire up my Washburn XB-600 6 string and Iāve connected upĀ the battery and the jack but I canāt find a wiring diagram for the pickup wiringĀ Sorry about the bad drawing but I hope you get the ideaĀ Does 1 go to 1 and 2 go to 2 if so where does the grounds go?Ā do they go on the side of the pot where Iāve written ground??? Jimothey Posted October 20, 2019 Author Share Posted October 20, 2019 (edited) @KiOgonĀ Iāve wired it up like that and no sound came out apart from humming, and the same thing that happened with my P the hum got louder when I touched the strings so Iāll have a look at the bridge ground to check that but as part of the course I checked the pickups and they hadnāt gone openĀ the neck is 12k and the bridge is 15k which seemed a bit high to me as arenāt active pickups supposed to have a lower output than passive? I did think that if itās a problem with the preamp and not the wiring could I rip out the preamp and just put 2v 2t passive wiring in or wouldnāt that work??
