I am using a Hartke HA5000 head,

I was looking for a 210 cab to go with my rig and split the high & lows etc!

This would also be handy for transporting to rehersals!

I have found a 300W powered 210 cab (230W as it is) 300W when using an extension cab!

Could i still power both cabs from the Hartke in Bi-Amp mode,

Any Help would be great!!

Justin. :)

All things are possible, but (at this early hour of the morning) I think the answer is no without mods to the powered cabinet (ie a crossover before its power amp) and a second poweramp. Or a passive crossover after the poweramp.

Edit: Unless you have separate line outs after the crossover in the Hartke.

The HA5000 doesn't have line outputs, so I think it would be hard to achieve what you're looking for with a powered cab. You could take a feed from the DI output to an external crossover – but that ties up the DI ouput, which isn't ideal. I think a much better plan would be to buy a standard cabinet (unpowered) and use that. Hookup of that is simple with the HA5000, just connect one passive cab to the high output and one to the low output. Whatever you do, DO NOT connect an active cab to the speaker outputs on the amp head. It's a very easy way to break things... :)
