testrat Posted December 30, 2008 Share Posted December 30, 2008 The pedal is one of the original batch with silver knobs and was modified by Ashdown from passive only to full spec just after i bought it so it's at least 2 years old. Returned from 3 month break and it was ok. Next rehersal it started to hiss. Pedal has been on a board since i bought it and is switched on all the time. Hiss is only heard when pedal is on. thinman Posted December 30, 2008 Share Posted December 30, 2008 I've got one of those things but gave up on it - too prone to distorting! Are you certain that the hiss is not environmental? Bear in mind that when you're not playing the gain of a compressor is high so any background noise will get amplified. Does the hiss go when you play a note?
