IncX Posted November 28, 2008 Share Posted November 28, 2008 someone is offering me a trade for one of my guitars, and since i really need money more than a jazz bass, i was wondering whether anyone is willing to go for this. -*- Bacchus is a Japanese made bass and has been often compared as either the Fender or Sadowsky of Japan. OldGit Posted November 28, 2008 Share Posted November 28, 2008 There are two types of Baccus basses - they have a hand made in Japan line and a kind of second market Squier / Rock Bass type other line .... Best to find out which this is. Also $250 (USD) is way over the top for shipping (I assume it's from Japan) My Man in Japan charges this for shipping to the UK EMS (3-4 days) 85.00 GBP SAL (2-3 Weeks) 65.00 GBP SEA (6-8 Weeks) 35.00 GBP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IMHO it's a reasonable amount for the bass but the shipping's way over the top, especially when you add the duty and VAT (which applies to the goods and shipping) Of course, as it's an exchange you can always add £250 to your price for shipping as well .... Too much blood in my caffeine stream ...[/quote] that's just a quote from the guy, and he doesnt know im going to resell it (i also dont think he would care either, hehe) ... i think i can still negotiate... as for the shipping, well, i can only ship via Fed Ex and nothing else (there's only one shipping company available in my town) ... and it is pretty expensive. i could try unbolting the neck and see if it would cost less (i will just refund the shipping balance via western union). i take photos of receipts so you will know exactly how much i paid for it can you PM me a price you'd like for it? i also dont know if this is one of those good Bacchus basses... ive only played one and they sound better than some Fenders (i wont say ALL FENDERS because for some reason, those basses can look alike but sound totally different from each other) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
