Couldn't remember if I introduced myself on the old forum, so here goes...been playing bass for about 16 years, mainly rock/metal but like funk, pop, indie etc, first bass playing idol was Rick Savage (Def Leppard) then VERY quickly realised my mistake and got into Rush! Have been in many bands over the years, spent way too much on bass related items when I should have been saving for a house, did give up playing for about 3 years but am glad to be back doing something I really enjoy. I'm currenty in two bands, Quo-caine - a Quo cover band (suprisingly!) and a covers/originals band called Hollows Of Venus, have just bought myself an Ibanez SRX390 which is really nice to play but I won't stop playing my Fender P-bass!

Cheers! :)

Thanx guys!

Here's a list of all the stuff I have made myself poor buying over the years...

Yamaha RBX550M - clanky

Spector NS-4 - all round workhorse

Ibanez Musician 8-string - a bugger to tune!

Fender USA Precision w/mirrored scratcplate - good but wish the neck wasn't so thick.

Trace Elliot GSM200 head - reliable

Peavey 210BX & 115BX cabs - tough, could survive a nuke.

Trace Elliot 100w geetar amp - bi-amped with the 8 string and the Trace head and Peavey cabs, guitarists beware!

Ashdown MAG C210T-300 combo - good but still trying to find the right settings for me

Dean Markley Overlord pedal - with a tube in it, niiiice.

Sansamp pedal - worst £140 I ever spent

E-H Big Muff - Nuff said

Boss ODB-3 - ok, bit tinny

Boss ME6B - it's got a whammy setting which I get a bit carried away with!
