I'm thinking of buying an acoustic bass, I'd like it to feel (and sound) as much like my ShortBass one as possible. Anyone got any ideas where I can get nygut strings in long scale? Or what sort of 'conventional' strings would replicate the feel and sound of the thunder guts on my ShortBass? Needless to say,Aquila don't/won't do long scale strings and my enquiry to Pahoehoe seems to have gone the way of all flesh...
