Custom Jazz Bass - Emulating NYC Sadowsky

This is back up for sale as I just feel more comfortable on my Stingray.

This is a custom 4 sting jazz bass, built from high quality components to emulate a $3,800 Sadowsky NYC Ultra Vintage Jazz Bass. This bass was previously owned and recently set-up by a Sadowsky NYC employee whose day job is building those $3,800 Sadowsky basses - so it can't be bad right? The reason for sale is simply because I'm broke - otherwise I'd keep it.

Details

- USA Custom Guitars two piece full size alder body with (natural) oil finish
- USA Custom Guitars maple neck with oil finish; jazz profile with 1 1/2 inch width at the nut
- Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with beautiful grain
- Fretwork by Mike Lull
- Frets recently professionally polished by Sadowsky tech
- Sadowsky single coil pick-ups
- Passive Volume/Volume/Tone controls
- Gotoh bridge (similar to Sadowsky OEM)
- 70's pickup spacing and SLAPS LIKE A MONSTER

If you are wondering about the quality of the body and neck then don't be as they are top notch. It's the same company that Valenti use to get pre-cut jobbies (check out their web: http://www.usacustomguitars.com/index.html. This bass simply knocks spots off the Fender USA Jazz basses I've tried for feel, tone and quality and is very comparible to the high end boutique Jazz basses out there. Just simply things like having a tight neck pocket and no gap between the scratch plate and control plate make a big difference! Has tone for days and in my opinion looks stunning.

Condition is very good, only one noticeable ding is to the bottom edge of the body and a slight marking to the upper horn, both of which are not visible from the front. The neck is gorgeous – nice and smooth with no dings. I will also throw in a hard case!

Price

I'm looking for £600 - which is less than what I paid for it.

Thanks
Tim
I was thinking that too BB, looks like bookmatched 2 piece to me... Could be wrong though, my iceni looks a bit like that and it's one big plank... hard to tell from that pic.
To my eye that's clearly a two piece body, either that or I'm imagining the dead straight line down the middle in all the photos! Look especially between the bridge and strap thingy. Lovely looking bass though, think it looks better for being a two piece.
