Is this bass fretted or fretless? (The bassdirect website link you posted seems to be saying that the ebony is only an option on the fretless model, hence my question.)

Hi, it's fretted and yes: rosewood, my apologies I will edit the listing. The previous owner was adamant it was ebony and the board is very dark for rosewood, so I too was convinced. Thank you for a good spot. 😊

Just clear up the ebony/rosewood fretboard:

Hi Steve,

The only two choices for fingerboards on the fretted Kingstons are rosewood or maple. Your bass was made in June of 2010. The fingerboard is rosewood. Rosewood has a lot of color variation. It is also possible that the
previous owner kept the fingerboard oiled. Many oils darken the wood.

That's a good looking bass!
