I need help identifying a set of strings;

Round wound

Black silks

Exposed core at the bridge
Its an old set I've got that I love the sound of and would like to buy a new set of; its just that I can't for the life of me remember who made them.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Might be La Bella supersteps if they have exposed cores.
If it's a REALLY old set they might be Superwounds, if that's the case you're out of luck beause they don't make them anymore.

Thanks for the information, Rhys.

I think they may be Superwounds. And if they are its a shame they don't make them anymore cause they still sound good and they've been played a lot.

Any experience with the Supersteps?

Yes, they're excellent strings.
The only downside is that they don't make an ultralight version like Superwound used to do.

String busters have got some Supersteps on offer at the moment in a couple of different guages - if you look at the list on the website they are marked as "Overstocked" and are about £7.00 a set cheaper than normal.
