Dazlexic101 Posted November 1, 2016 Share Posted November 1, 2016 I've read a few threads about this cab and I haven't found this question answered. I have a USA SVT410HE cabinet. Now, without opening it up to look (which I've no real expertise in) does anybody know what speakers they use in this model? Brand, wattage, impedance etc. I can't find info on replacement stock speakers and I'm not sure if they differ from the ones in the cabinets that are now made in Vietnam. A friend of mine is also convinced that he could rewire them to 4 ohms for me (which is something I had thought of). A number of threads have said that they don't think it possible but I'd like to have him take a look to satisfy my curiosity. So, anyone know EXACTLY what speakers they are (and how they are wired) before I open it up and fiddle with it myself? Thanks. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bill Fitzmaurice Posted November 2, 2016 Share Posted November 2, 2016 Ampeg uses proprietary OEM drivers, mainly sourced from Eminence. An 8 ohm cab cannot be rewired to 4 ohms.
