FS: Allparts Jazz Bass Neck - maple, blocks and bound -SOLD
£120

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm moving on my old Allparts Jazz neck which has been on my bitsa. It's a maple neck with the pearloid blocks and cream binding. These things are pretty rare over here and importing them normally makes them quite pricey.

This one is in very good condition. It has a bone nut fitted and has previously had Schaller BMFL tuners on. There are two very slight hairline cracks in the finish, one on the front of the headstock and one on the back. Hardly noticeable unless in the right light. The truss rod turns and works as it should and the neck is nice and straight. The finish itself is glossy and has a slight amber tint, so looks great as a vintage piece.

The reason it's so cheap? To get it to fit the body at the right angle, we installed neck bolts as opposed to traditional neck screws. As such, these are slightly off kilter, so this wouldn't bolt straight onto a normal fender body with the screw holes int he normal position. It's only slightly off, but please take a look att he pictures to see what I mean. A normal neck plate fits, so the bolt threads are evenly placed, just not in realtion to the angle of the neck/ Does that even make sense?? :D

Take a look and any questions, I will do my best to answer.

For sale for £120, plus £20 shipping in the UK. Happy to ship elsewhere, or collection from the North West is fine.

Cheers
