Ashdown CTM 15 White noise

Hi
I've hunted around for a relevant thread. I'm sure there is one but for the life of me I couldn't find it...... Basically, my beautiful little thing has started to emit a noise akin to an untuned radio. It gets worse when the gain or master are turned up. The tone of the noise is also changed by the bass, mid and treble controls. Any help from you clever guys and gals would be welcomed.

Hi. Its still sounds good when its being used. The valves all appear to be the same colour. Its a couple of years old. Are valves easily swapped by a reasonably competent diy'er?

Preamp valves are switchable, if it's the power stage ones i'd recommend a tech gives the amp a service.

I keep on meaning to pick one of these amps up, love them.

Andy
Cheers for the advice, I think I'll pop it off to the local tech tomorrow. :)

Basses I can fix, amps I always look at and go "errrrrrrrrrr...." I stop at replacing switches and internal fuses.

I'm off to find a CTM-15 😂
