Guinness21 Posted March 29, 2015 Share Posted March 29, 2015 A lot of people are talking about this amp head on talkbass, so I googled it and was blown away by the price! This amp head has 2000w peak output (they don't provide a total output figure) which is far more than I'd ever need, but I suppose I can always just turn down The only thing holding me back was the cab side of things. There are two cabs that have been designed to be used with this head - a 1x15 and a 2x10 - but they're both a tiny size. Bugera do make a 4x10 but it's a 2800w cab. I said this on talkbass and a guy responded "Having a[color=#141414][font=verdana, geneva, lucida,] big cabinet doesn't improve dispersion, if anything it makes it worse". Behringer/Bugera routinely quote very optimistic (ahem!) figures for their amps. If they have used one of the commonly available Class D modules, it could be rated at about 500W to 800W depending on how they have 'managed' the power. [/quote] it is a peak figure as stated but if it puts out 500-800w continuous then it makes a difference as to the cab you can use no?
