topdealmans Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 What is the best cable to go for when hooking up your bass to an amp? I need about 3 metres to use with an Ashdown practice amp. Also, I was going to get a set of headphones for practice, the idea of some cordless ones appeals and I have been looking at the Sennheiser RS130. They're handmade to your specifications and are extremely reliable. As for headphones - I've been using AKG K-55s to practice with now for over a year and they've been consistently great. They are fine IF you are prepared to fiddle around with the transmitter to find the best location, depending how far you intend to move from the base obviously. Plenty enough bass for me. Dave (OBBM) got a great write up in the current issue of Bass Guitar Magazine too. I've already got 2 speaker and 2 instrument cables from him and can say from experience they're well made from top quality components and very fairly priced.
