Jono Bolton Posted December 4, 2014 Share Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) A bit of a feeler here, I've got a set of Newtone custom order high tension strings, brand new and still in their packaging. I bought them as my band tunes down 3 semitones and the Rotosounds I had on my P Bass didn't have enough tension for my liking and would flap around wildly when played hard. The idea with the Newtones is they use standard windings over a thicker core to retain the same tension at a lower tuning as you would get with regular strings when tuned to E standard. I planned on putting these on my P Bass but they took six weeks to arrive as they were a custom order, but in that time I discovered that the DR Fat Beams I put on my Peavey Foundation are exactly what I was after, so I probably wont use these now. I paid £30 plus postage for these, I'm asking for £25 & postage, and you wont have to wait the best part of 2 months for them to arrive!
