It's a beautiful thing, but unfortunately the joys of home ownership are proving to be slightly more wallet-bashing than I'd envisaged.. I bought this after trying a load of 70's Fenders and not liking any of them. I eventually worked out that what I wanted, wasn't what I wanted, and that in actual fact, I wanted one of these! It's the most versatile bass I've owned. The passive tone control allows you to adjust the overall feel of the instrument (in active and passive modes), and achieve the perfect tone. It's all very well sounding like Marcus Miller all the time (he seems to do well out of it), but for a lot of tracks/gigs, you need the smooth thump of a P bass. Solo the neck pickup, roll back the passive tone control, boost the bass slightly and you're 99% there. It's in good condition, but has a few marks here and there.
