Bass / life balance

Around 30 years ago I was a full time musician.
It was hard work, but it paid the bills and got me on the housing ladder.
The turning point for me was going on tour and waking up in yet another facsimile hotel room and not knowing which town I was in.
I finished the tour and called it a day.

The intervening years were good, I had an aptitude for managing highly complex IT projects, and this served me well until I was made redundant.

The whole Jobcentre thing never sat particularly well with me and a disagreement with them in the latter part of last year has put me right back in the industry I left 30 years ago. :D

As a 'musical tart' I'll play anything for anyone, provided I'm getting paid for it, and when I'm not playing I grab any smelly/grotty/dangerous job going to earn a few extra £'s.

As much as I enjoy playing, first opportunity I get to relegate it back to 'paid hobby' status, I'm going to do it.
