Mykesbass Posted January 5, 2014 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Been working on a cracking set of songs (from Aretha Franklin to Joss Stone via BB KIng and Cream) creating a nice laid back, bluesey, soulful set. The original idea was to do it with me on acoustic guitar as a duo but some of the songs we like cry out for a band treatment and I am finding it hard to cope (with dodgy hands) with some of the barre chords and could certainly not see lasting a whole set. We have a lovely drummer who is up for this and have space at my work (near Arundel) to rehearse. Looking for a guitarist who can fit the bill, nice relaxed rhythm work and a few tasteful solos. No Bonamassa wannabes please and nobody who needs to turn up with a few tins to rehearsals (sorry, previous bad experience)! We are all mature (49+) and pretty experienced and hope to get a gig set together pretty quickly.
