I acquired this bass recently in a trade. It's Biffy Clyro bassman James Johnstone's signature jazz bass. It's based on Squiers Classic Vibe series Jazz and is without doubt one of the nicest basses I have played (and there have been many - ask my wife). The neck on this bass is sublime and the sound is pure Jazz. My US Custom Shop Jazz never played or sounded better. A previous owner has changed the original bridge for a high-mass replacement. Condition is 9.5/10 due to one small ding on the upper edge. Comes complete with Fender padded soft case. Looking for £225 firm plus shipping or would consider trade for 500 watt + bass head with cash your way Edited by MoJo

I was the original owner of this bass :)

I changed the stock high-mass bridge for a Hipshot B Style bridge for mainly aesthetic reasons but also for better adjustability. I still have the stock HM bridge if anyone would prefer it to the Hipshot.

I think it aqquired that ding from being put on the over head rack on my train, it's nothing serious at all though and other than that it was in great condition when I moved it on to Duncan.

This is a great bass and I'm sure whoever buys it next will be quite happy with it :)

It is a cracking bass but my BB414 suits my current band better. I played the jazz at a gig last Saturday and as I dug in, I thought to myself "wow there's that Geddy Lee growl" . It was a shame we were playing Wishing Well and I was aiming for more of an Andy Fraser tone

You should
If I were in the market for a Jazz, you certainly couldn't get better for the money. I've had an 80's MIJ and a US Custom Shop Jazz and I'd pitch this up against them any day
