This set cost £25.80 delivered from Status. I have had problems with wolf tones on the B, as you can read [url="http://basschat.co.uk/topic/220197-b-string-wolf-tone-woes"]here[/url], so in the end I put some D'Addario Chromes on instead. In the meantime they only had a few hours of home use in a smoke-free environment.

The strings have been cut to fit my G&L 5-string, which has a 3+2 headstock, so they are not now long enough for a 4+1 layout. Also I can't give any kind of guarantee on the B string - it might just be that it doesn't get on with that particular bass, or it might be faulty.

If you ignore the B and look at this as a 4-string set, then again it won't fit the usual 4-on-a-side, but it should be fine on a 2+2 like a Sandberg Basic or many of the Ibanez basses.

Anyway, to help you decide whether this set is for you, I have measured from ball end to centre of tuning post, and the total length of the cut string. Measurements are to the nearest 5mm/¼inch[b].[/b]
