VTypeV4
Hey guys, I've just picked up a pair of these in good working order for a song.. Not sure what to use them for yet. I'm considering a hand built compact 2x15 + HF as one option. Or possibly a build a pair of Cubo 15" type subs for PA or even an oldskool compact folded horn..???? Like I said, not sure yet.. Just asking for opinions on these borderline vintage units? I'm sure they've been surpassed by modern and neo speakers, hell, even JBL themselves make the 2226H as an update.. Cheers, chaps and chapesses.
Grissle
Great low end but start rolling off around 1.5k so you may need a mid driver. Check this site for specs: http://www.jblpro.com/pub/obsolete/2225hj.pdf And here for cab dimension and ports: http://www.jblpro.com/BackOffice/ProductAttachments/enclgde.pdf

Grissle
Was going to add that you might need to add a 6" mid driver if you need any high mids. This is also a good candidate for a 3 way setup!
VTypeV4
Could be interesting.. a 2x15 with a 6 pluf HF.. it'd cover everything I'd ever need! From what I've read, they're a tough old thing being one of the premium 15 inch drivers of their day.
VTypeV4
When I said TWO in good working order, I really meant just one.. Not to worry as it's cost me even less now! I'll put a pic up in a bit. VTypeV4
Does anyone know if they can be re-coned as a 2226H?

JTUK
Possibly... Let me explore a few options. I know someone who has to deliver to Hull and Teesport Ports...but I don't know how or if the parcels could be collected from there. I will check that out and also P&P..
