And ...... SOLD

Now £275 posted

6 month old Ashdown Spyder 550. Superb condition. Babied all it's life. Never even turned up to halfway on the master. I think I have gigged it twice. No significant marks at all. Anything that you see in the pics will be dust. Works 100% perfectly. Never had any issues. Also has a quality NOS Philips ECC83 valve in V1 of the pre-amp. Will also come with the chinese ECC83 that it came with in V1 as a spare.

Problem is that, despite the excellence of the Ashdown, I've fallen in love with another amp. I admit I have no staying power whatsoever with gear and my eye is easily caught by anything new and flashy.

Spec here ... http://www.gear4musi...e-Bass-Head/CGD

For some reason Ashdown have just discontinued the dual tube series, which surprises me as I think they are the best mid priced amps they have ever released. A bit of an under-rated gem IMO.
It's a very clean sounding amp. Will not overdrive, despite what the official Ashdown demo video might lead you to believe. Despite being passive EQ, it's very flexible. Two different mid frequencies available (selectable - one or the other) for the mids knob. Will do very bright and hi-fi, or a dull thud, or anywhere in between. Unlike many users of the ABMs find, there are no volume issues with this amp either. A very good loud 500W.

Our friend walbassist did an excellent review video here ... which, IMO is a very realistic sample of what the amp sounds like in real life.

Yours, now, for £260 cash collected, or £275 couriered to your door within mainland UK. I have the very sturdy Ashdown double boxing to send it in. No offers at this price. And sorry no trades.

Where you based dude

Near Southampton.

Also, just FYI, to send to Germany would cost £329 all inclusive. I suspect cost to other European countries would be similar.

Someone buy this before I buy another one for no reason other than that they're awesome and I like the idea of two of them stacked on top of each other :D

So tempted. I loved mine then sold it in favour of a Fender TB600 which didn't suit me as well. Currently running a Hughes & Kettner which gets the job done but the Spyder 550 edges it for me. A great rock amp
