TPJ Posted March 19, 2013 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Yep, spent 7 or 8 years at sea...had a great time . I played in the production band, a jazz trio, small combo etc... If you have no ties and want to see the world, go for it. Not sure how it stacks up to when I did it in the 90's but as long as you're making decent money, it's a great way to hone your skills. I used to practice 4-6 hours most days, then play 3 hours at night for the gig. You meet all sorts of folk out there and you get to travel to all corners.
