Jazz Bass Inquiry

Hi All,

Apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum bit here goes. I saw a nice Fender MIM Jazz bass in a small guitar shop today but I can't work out how old it is so any help would be appreciated.

Here’s a description:

Olympic White body, looks aged
Tortoise Shell scratch plate
Noiseless pickups
Standard bridge (i.e. not through body)
Fender Deluxe electrics i.e. 4 knobs with plastic instructions template underneath, which is cracked and breaking up

Rosewood 20 fret fingerboard with dot inlays
Serial No on reverse of headstock: MZ7118219
Standard, unmarked tuners. i.e. not Hipshots, Schallers or any Fender logo.

The serial number implies Mexican made in 2007 but the body looks older. so do you reckon is a hybrid?

Cheers
Graham

It's a shop so will be more but that seems a tad high imo, think they are 690 new,I would offer them 400 and hope they come down abit. If that's the going rate I got a serious deal :-) check the knobs as one of the vol and the bass one on mine are really easy to turn,as in a mouse's cough would move it,worth checking. Here's mine

Guitarguitar has a black one in stock s/h for £429. I would say that £475 was a tad expensive.
