Hey all,

For sale is my Ibanez GWB-35 as the title would suggest.

I'm having to give up playing bass due to a shoulder injury, I just get bad pains around the rotor cuff, tried all the exercises etc.

The bass is in good condition, it's not been played a whole lot. Got a few minor signs of wear on the fingerboard which is made from Ebonol, a man-made resin that feels like glass to the touch and gives plenty of 'mwah'. There's a bit of buckle rash on the back, again, minor signs of use. They're purely cosmetic, the bass plays and sounds great, engineers love it. Such a punchy sound and very transparent.

It's a 34" scale 5 string fretless bass in matte black, very light weight as it's made from basswood with a maple neck. Balances very nicely.

I'll throw in the nice padded strap as well, there are strap locks on the bass and strap so it won't fall off.

2 band active circuit, bass and treble boost/cut.

I'm asking for about half the price on Gak, who are notoriously good on price which seems a fair number.

Here's some photos of the bass: http://s178.beta.photobucket.com/user/6stringbassist/library/Ibanez%20GWB35

And here's a video of someone playing the same model. The bass for sale is completely stock, as is the one in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxYlfeyIpqc

Here's a link explaining the 'ramp' on the bass to anyone unfamiliar with Mr Willis. Check his site out, he's a truly phenomenal musician and teacher and bass player and composer etc etc etc. Loads of free info and tools on there, like his sight reading trainer!

I'd prefer someone to come and try this bass out before buying it and also not risking postage, you know how careless some of them are with packages and I'd hate for it to turn up to someone broken. I will post it if you have the money, postage will be on top and I have no idea how much it'll cost. You'll probably have to choose the shipping company etc and one that'll cover the full value of the bass as well. I'm new to all the shipping stuff. As I said, pickup preferred. If you wish to pay by cheque, it'll have to clear before I'll post the bass.

I'll be putting up some other gear for sale tomorrow. It's no use to me with a knackered shoulder. Not in a massive hurry to sell any of the gear, but first one with the cash gets the goods, it's only fair. Please, be sure to check with your wives before buying!

I live in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, about 30 mins North- East of Bristol. Come try the bass out.
I'll also be selling:

- Markbass CMD 102P combo bass amp, 300 watts, 2x10 speakers and a tweeter. It's the same as this one and I'll sell it for £650, again, collection preferred. Good condition, very light weight and engineers love it. Very versatile amp. It's LOUD by the way and sounds fantastic. Here is the same model amp on Gak new, so I'll take £650: http://www.gak.co.uk/en/mark-bass-cmd-102p/4281?gclid=COX57JD01rQCFW_KtAodjX4Ahw

- I've got a pair of Yamaha HS80m active monitor speakers, 8-inch speaker with tweeters, they've not been used much either, still in great condition, pretty much as new, I think I still have the boxes as well. They sell for £204 EACH on Gear4Music, £408 for a pair. I'll sell them as a pair for £280. They're loud, very transparent and are very 'honest' speakers. They have great bass on them too. Here they are on Gear4Music: http://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/Yamaha-HS80M-Active-Monitor-Each/6JG

- Squier Dirnt P bass in white. I'll take £175 for it, lovely bass, rock solid and great sounding workhorse. Very good condition. http://www.gak.co.uk/en/squier-mike-dirnt-precision-bass-arctic-white/20754

Again, I live in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, about 30 mins North- East of Bristol. Welcome to try the gear out and see for yourself which bit(s) you'd like.
