Focusrite Saffire 6 USB audio interface (now on ebay)

Recommended Posts

I bought this new in March and some annoying Intel motherboard/Windows 7/USB problem means I can't actually use it with any reliability.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMMITTING TO BUY! It describes the problem in detail so you don't waste your time and cash buying it and not being able to use it.

Full specs here.

It's boxed and I've registered none of the software so you still get the benefit of the disc with Ableton Live Lite 8, Novation Bass Station VST and 1GB of samples to use. They're £150 new and I've had to replace it with another interface at a cost of £120 as a result of the above issue, so the price is a non-negotiable £100 posted.

Great tidy little interfaces are these. Have one myself and haven't had any troubles with it as a fellow Windows 7 user, so don't let that put you off if you're thinking of buying it!

Cheers, it's only certain Intel i Series compatible motherboards that have the issue. As long as you can connect to a root hub as described in the article it should work fine.

It's really easy to use and sounded really good when it was all behaving, the Focusrite preamps are really well thought of and I in fact replaced it with a Scarlett 2i2. Annoyingly, I was considering the Scarlett when I bought this but thought I'd go for the more expensive option :(
