Bloc Riff Nut Posted July 27, 2012 Share Posted July 27, 2012 Is there any way of playing my Trace V6 4Ohm over my Barefaced Midget 8Ohm? I was considering selling the V6 and eden 4Ohm 4x10 but after A/Bing it against my GenzBenzShuttle6 and BarefacedMidget I dropped the idea. The V6/Eden was just so much warmer than the Genz/Midget. I would like to hear the V6 over Barefaced but the V6 is 4 or 2Ohm switchable and the Midget is 8 Ohm :-( Any ideas? I could buy a compact; 8 and 8 = 4 but it also = skint! Cheers, Phil. [/quote] Just checked back through the hallowed annals of Basschat. It shouldn't blow the amp up, but if used over a long period of time will shorten the life of the valves.
