Well Finally i should have the finances to buy my very first bass very soon.

I should mention that i'm more or less a open book when it comes to what kind of music i want to play and wouldn't mind so examlpes of music that each bass plays.(not too sure if it's all according to the pups themselves or what not).

After looking around the fourms a little i've seen two bass's that have peaked my intrest

Firstly the one i personally favour: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1

and Secondly: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1

Open to any suggestions of course =)

(hopefully not breaking any rules as such by linking bass's for sale on the fourms and if so i do appolgize)

So finally im just looking to see what other members have to say.

When I bought my first bass I bought a Fender Jazz copy and its still my main bass guitar, 24 years on. I bought another - a fretless - but never needed to get anything else, or indeed been tempted. So maybe having had only 2, I'm not qualified to give advice but having 2 pickups naturally increases the versatility over 1. I guess you want something a bit more modern looking than a Jazz bass, but they are incredibly versatile - there's a reason why there are so many of them.

If it were me, I'd be looking seriously at the Lazer. It's a Matsumoku made bass from a time when they were at the top of their game. However if you scroll down to post #13 it looks like it might have sold. Which at least solves the dilemma for your budget. :)

Can't believe i missed that... well thats true that it does take my mind of the budget  . but hopefully if it's not sold i'll try and get my hands on it myself that saying that my funds get sorted out quiet soon =). Thanks for the advice.
