Dread Bass Posted April 6, 2008 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Ok ive only recently got a setup with valves in. I have an svp preamp into an ada power amp. I can get a really nice overdriven tone by making the peak/mute light come on. My question is am i damaging the preamp by doing this? Will i break the valves? i have read lots about getting an overdriven sound from a valve amp but if its ok to do then why is there the light? Sorry for the total newbie question.
