With Fender SMOOTH ROUNDED Strings. Really nice bass, but I bought it on a whim wanting a fretless but I just can't get the ROAR I need from it to play heavy / industrial metal I would prefer something much more BC rich or similar, or even something just a bit more suited to playing metal / rock styles than a fretless.
