jaybyname Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 Hi all, just finished the primer on my bass ready for the satin black Ive chosed. My question is, whats the best way to do it. Do I spray then sand down and spray again etc. And do I need to put a clear coat over the top? Not sure. The preparation Ive done is awesome, dont want to spoil my ggod work. Cheers. Batfastard Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 Sanding between coats or flatting will give you the best results just use a high grit sand paper. 1200 grit was the best for me. Batfastard Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) I used most of the can and did it it in lots of coats to avoid streaks. If you spray it on too thick it will run and and you you have to sand it back untill the white streaks disappear. Remember it will take a few weeks to fully cure.
