"How do I play faster!!!???" - I get asked this question A LOT by students. In these two tutorials I show you an easy exercise to help you start breaking your lines down in to bite size chunks, which in turn helps you learn the right physical movements to get the job done.

Remember... The slower you go, the faster your brain will find and assign the correct movement program to your fingers. Slow at first, then little by little crank up the speed. Make sure you are VERY observant of what your right hand is doing.

Here they are...

Also the basic laws of physics come into play. Your fingers have a maximum speed and can only move so far in a given time so it stands to reason that the less you move them to execute a particular note, the more notes you can fit in in a given time :) .
