chrisalvey Posted October 12, 2011 Share Posted October 12, 2011 Hi folks I have a mk2 superbass 100 W head and a 4 x 12 1935 cabinet. When I play at reasonable volume (to keep up with the drummer) I have noticed that I get a peculiar 'farting' noise from the cab. I suspect that the amp is clipping; It only occurs when I drop the E to D. I am playing a ricky 4003, occasional compressor/expander - and am after a deep percussive sound, as I am in a three piece band and need the ricky to be in full song across all frequencies.......
