Hi all,

Its got to the point that i am selling a few instruments as i am about to move house and need the money for that beautiful phrase in life known as a hidden the admin fee.. Brilliant!

Anyway, here is what i can only describe as a gem of a bass guitar. Its non branded and i bought it roughly 3 years ago new for £175 (down from £200 with negotiations) from a company that claim to specialise in making cheaper alternatives.

As you can see from the images, it's modeled on the trusty Fender Jazz. I play a P-Bass these days but the bass for sale was my main Bass and i actually used this live and for recording instead of my squire. Nothing wrong with the squire, but this bass, for a 'cheap alternative', is quite simply, bloody lovely.

Why £75? (NOW £70) simply because i need the cash as i'm moving house in the next month, and in all honesty, i don't think many people will want to part with much more than that for an unbranded Bass. I did, and was incredibly shocked to find that it was worth every penny.

I'll chuck in a Stagg Bass bag for that price but i must stress.. this is for PICK UP ONLY. Ive got lots going on with the move and i simply don't have time for postage, so sorry about that. I live in Gateshead at the moment but could happily meet for the exchange somewhere in Newcastle. For obvious reasons with it being pick up only, i would prefer payment on the day in cash if possible.

Here are a few pics of the bass:

And you can see a couple of up close pics at the following photbucket link:

You may also notice on that link that i have an Epiphone 56' Gold Top guitar for sale. The Guitar comes with a heavyweight Ritter guitar bag and a pack of strings. I want £200 for this and same rules apply in terms of pick up only. I will post more details about the guitar it the 'other' classifieds section.

If you are interested in either, please feel free to contact me via message on here and i will happily send you my email addy etc to chat further.

***EDIT - some additional info and sound clips.

From what i can tell, the body is all one piece, the wood is apparently Alder Wood, it was described as 'classic alder wood' when i originally bought it.

In terms of how it sounds, the following are the only things i have to hand with recording of this bass on it. Please keep in mind these are just 'live at practice' recordings with a small amount of eq on the bass, hardly anything if i remember correctly.

BASS SOUND EXAMPLE

The first track 'clarts' - the bass comes in around 30 secs in.

The Second track 'The doctor of style' - the bass comes in around the 14 seconds mark.

Although what you can hear above is a funk like sound, i have used this bass in a rock band too. It worked a treat in both elements.

Thanks for looking and i look forward to hearing from you,
cheers
mark
