JTUK Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 or love it..!! Been in the studio for a couple of vocal dates for an Ad agency demo. 1st girl, older...done stuff and getting back out there. Comes in, knows her stuff, and limitations, and knocks out a couple of tracks from Pink and Rhianna. She can pick 'em, I thought, as these are two tough girls to cover. She does well... nails the double tracks and harmonies and you know she'll get work. She plays back a tape completely unaccompanied of a friends daughter and suggests we put this girl up for the agency work as well. That is nice of her, I thought...helping someone get on ... Today this 2nd girl turns up ...she is 14 and only done school band work before at a school show ... She wants to do Adele and Aretha Franklin... She does 4 takes of each and we keep two... She nails them... she has the phrasing and pitch right down...doesn't drop a note and doesn't forget any words either..which is pretty decent ripping off the Adele track of 5 mins plus.. Needless to say... a good days work..and the band and engr are pretty blown away by her. She wants to come back and re-do the vocals as she has a bad cold and this makes her nasally on the track, she says. We can't wait.... some people have just got IT.
