paddy mcbride Posted July 18, 2011 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Hi there I'm looking into changing the control layout on my Streamer LX. The volume knob in particular is getting in the way when I play live. So I'd like to take out all 4 knobs (blend, bass, treble & Volume) and reposition the volume control into one of the other holes. 1. Can someone please advise me how to rewire this setup with only volume (with passive pull as existing) without the other controls 2. Can this be combined with a stacked knob to provide pickup blend? 3. What is the best way to cover/close the now 3 redundant holes in the body of the guitar without refinishing the entire body? tommorichards Posted July 19, 2011 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Heres a diagram that should suffice. Just ignore the tone control. And the best way to cover the holes? Depending on what colour the bass is, you may need a refinish. But i'd put something on the underside of the hole, and fill it up with some wood filler, then level and refinish.
