Ok so here is a new track been working on for a while.

Going to but vocals on it but wanted to know what bass BC's thought of it really.

Am going for a classical feel for this one.

Kinda happy with the production, even though I worked out later that i could replace some of the high end that was lost due to reverb.

Using a GB spitfire Straight into a Duet and logic.

It is what it is and I am not criticising it per se but just wondered what you would think of it if it was played on a nylon strung acoustic guitar or a piano? It would be pretty lightweight. The focus is, therefore, on the technique being used and not the content per se.

But, to be fair to you, its yours and you did it so more power to you. Would rather this than your version of Portrait of Tracy :)

That is a fair point and one i should remember for the future.

I would say though that technique and content should work together in harmony to create some thing emotive, were the simplicity of the content is helped by the the technique. and thats what i tried to go for, Some thing simple but said in a different way, both working together to help explain to the listener the message of the song. Well thats what i went for.

I think i did it because am personally fed up with crazy slap tracks and super fast triplet 16th note tapping, not saying there is any thing wrong with that its just every one is doing that, but that is your point in reverse really, where technique is actually ruling the content of the song.

Thanks for the comment though, its given me much food for thought.
