SOLD! Acoustic image extension cab III series as new reduced to £250

Recommended Posts

ACOUSTIC IMAGE DOUBLE BASS AMP. Original
This amp costs well over a grand when bought in the Uk. I bought it from new. It has served me well. It consists of a 400w CLASS D amp and a front firing 5inch driver and a 10inch floor firing woofer. It is a specialist amp for the Double Bass. The Electric Bass can be used at low volumes eg Shows and Pit work. Suitable for Keyboards too. A very HiFi uncoloured sound. One of the best sounding amps you can get for the Double bass.
Do a search on Talk Bass.com for professional bassists opinions.
The grill over the 'down firing' speaker is missing though it doesn't affect the sound.

Also selling the CONTRA EXTENSION CABINET. This cabinet is as new with original dust cover.
It has been gigged less than a dozen times. Will sell separately . Amp £180 (given its age) and contra ex. £250

Buyer from mainland uk would have to cover shipping.
I can email pics.
Thanks for looking.

Just to say a big thanks for the contra arrived today excellent amp with a big natural sound might even be able to do without my fishman pre anyway thanks for sorting it out i know you where mega busy over the bank holidays

Hi Al Glad you are happy with it. I'll hold the funds in Paypal for a few days to make sure you are happy with the amp. Yes you should be able to do without the pre for most gigs. However it might help you to dial out "boomy" lows in certain problem venues.
Yes Just back from the Derry Jazz festival where I played 9 gigs with a variety of musicians. By the last gig my middle finger was forming a blood blister. I just about made it. It was worth it for all the pain. Next time I'll do more pizz practice coming up to the festival.
Please report back in a few days and let me know how you are getting on with the amp. Best regards P
