1. I've not heard from rungles in a while, so this is still on the market.
 2. It's not too late to treat yourself to a nice Xmas present...
 3. Thanks for the vote of confidence! I remember when Warwicks would fly off the shelves, have they lost cool points perhaps? When I bought this and had my Trace Elliot V6 I knew I'd hit the highest point of gear ownership I'd ever go. Sadly life moves on and I have to part ways, shocked that I've had a few enquiries and offers but nothing solid.
 4. Still available, still beautiful. Someone must be interested!
 5. Given another reduction in price as I need the money, any interest?
 6. Hi, I'm happy to accept that for local pickup. I could do Wednesday evening or Thurs/Fri any time. Typically tomorrow I'm visiting my parents and won't be around, unless you're able to get here before 11am?
 7. Any interest if I take it down to £550 + Postage? It's a truly gorgeous instrument and really deserves to find a new home.
 8. edit: 28/7 - Reduced to £500 + Postage I'm not playing in bands anymore and have made the hard decision to part with the nicest bass I'll ever own and just keep my backup going forward. Bunch of pictures up here: http://imgur.com/a/43xCQ Serial number: H-101040-03 Article number: 1204030200GZFMAOWW produced: 2003-08-15 Description: Corvette Proline, 4-string Ocean Blue Oil finish Flamed Maple A body Ovangkol neck Gold hardware Proline edition with the nicer neck, tonal varieties and gold hardware over the standard. Lighter too I believe. Fell in love with this the second I saw it and hope someone else will too. IMHO in great condition for the age, some small marks to be expected but nothing I've ever griped over. It's missing the truss rod cover as you can see in the picture. Comes with the thick leather Warwick gig bag which I found offered great protection. Courier wise, I live close to the Post Office and happy to ship at whatever tier you want. I believe the bass on its own weighs around 9lb. Local pickup in Cardiff is an option too. [s]I've put FT in the tag as I'm looking to buy a Novation Bass Station 2 with some of the money. If you have one you're looking to part with, I was thinking that + £330 cash if you're interested.[/s] edit: I found the Warwick lookup tool for the serial number, so have copied/pasted the extra detail into the post.
 9. Oops, completely missed the most important part of your post!
I don't think you're supposed to link to your own eBay listings, but I suggest considering the following:

What did it cost you, and how long ago was that? You are probably looking at 50-60% of that figure tops, unless it's 'now considered vintage/collectable/desirable.
Log into eBay and do a search for your bass, then select 'Completed Listings' - what prices did they sell for (green figures), what asking prices didn't sell (red figures) - aim for a figure in between.
What are people asking for the same or similar basses on Basschat? By all means ask for that but be prepared to be haggled down - buyers generally expect this, and expect that you will expect it too!
Have a look on prepal.com to see if your bass is listed, and whether its value is rising or falling.
Ask yourself - what would I be happy getting for this, and how low would the price go before you would rather keep it?
If I have stated the obvious then at least no-one has been killed or injured!
1. I actually bought it on here! Sadly it was the old site and I don't believe there's any backups of that? A shame as the original owner probably knew more about it than me. I'm hoping the 50/60% element doesn't ring true based on the fact I bought it s/h already. I remember it's retail being around £1200 and I paid close to £600 delivered. I would probably want at least £500 after shipping. 2. Only one, as per above reply, went for £417 with 10 bids. But different string, not as nice a colour etc. I think the older versions of my bass are preferred and think his was newer than mine. 3. Yeah been trying to find similar on here, unfortunately one of the few threads was just an argument about its legitimacy! Hope I don't get that hehe. 4. Sounded perfect... until my manufacturer wasn't listed Bizarre though, it's a pretty standard go-to make, nothing boutique. 5. I think that's the key point. I'd like to think I could get within £100 of what I paid on here, but I don't know if the market is generally cheaper now than it was back in around 2005 or so. I'm guessing it probably is. Thanks again
 10. D'oh, I'm sure the old eBay forum was for linking your own things (or maybe not, I might have always misunderstood its purpose!). Don't worry, I wouldn't post in there or the other selling forums without double checking every related rule! I did check eBay earlier, and sadly only one completed item that comes close, and that's a (worse!) colour than mine and has 5 strings not 4. It also went enough under that made me not really want to list it to be honest. I probably will just bite the bullet and stump up the cash and list tomorrow when I can get photos/serial etc so I can at least do it some justice! Thanks for the advice guys.
 11. Hey guys, been a while since I posted here and things have changed a bit! I've kinda lost heart in playing over the last few years after my beloved V6 got broken, and think having my main bass just sat in my room collecting dust is doing nobody any favours. I need the money and so it's time to part ways. However I see there's a charge for selling here now and a few other elements with regards to pricing/offers - totally understandable. For someone who was never in so deep to know values of particular models, is there a decent way (or even a thread here perhaps that I've not been able to find) of gauging a rough selling price so I can know whether i. it's worth me listing or keeping ii. I'm asking a fair price for both seller/buyer. I won't mention the model here as I don't want it to look like I'm trying to use this as my 'For Sale' thread, but I've looked through the selling forum and only a few similar have been sold close to mine in the last few years (despite it not being uncommon). I found an almost exact one that sold on the US bass talk site, which I think went for $750 last year. Any rough $>£ I should aim for? Or am I simply best off putting on eBay and linking here int he eBay forum?
 12. Another vote for the MBP here. I've run PCs from the late 80s through to current day and no machines I've ever owned give me as much peace of mind as my 2008 MBP and 2010 iMac. The whole approach is so different to Dell, Asus etc where you can feel the 'thrown together from 3rd party components as cheaply as possible' approach and if you ever have to deal with Apple's customer service you'll be glad to have spent the extra money. I paid nowhere near retail for either machine, as usual it's a case of buying smart and not just walking into a store and paying the full cost. The NAB demonstration of Final Cut X was very impressive, if they do a new 64bit Logic X this year too... damn, the pro users have something to be happy about for a change!
 13.
I would recommend getting the focusrite saffire pro 40 and the focusrite octopre. That'd give you 16 channels to play with all on one firewire connection. As for condensor, a shotgun Mic will do you much much better than a normal style condenser microphone.
Would be nice, but at the cost of a grand for the two units when the pro 40 would essentially cover what I have already, it's just too much money. The Octopre is a fantastic piece of kit, but I'm not too worried about having basic pres on the extra 8 channels going in which is why the £150~ Behringer is up my alley. Thanks for the vote of confidence on the shotgun mic, appreciate it.
Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 ? Surely you mean the Pro 24 ?
The Pro 26 is an older model, Focusrite don't use a great naming structure! It's this one - http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec06/articles/saffire.htm
