1. Bump to the top. Bass is still available and in the same condition as listed before. Solid 5 string bass, able to cut through mix, for a very reasonable price.
2. New Price at £160, shame to see it go but unfortunately, the sale is a necessity.
3. Hi Machines, these things sure are built incredibly sturdy. I'm guessing by your signature that trying to make a sale for a 6th bass may be a hard task haha, joking aside thanks for your words
4. Good afternoon all, I'm currently placing my 5 string Yamaha RBX 775 up for sale for £160 (Now dropped). Collection from Luton area. The bass is in a metallic silver colour and has a glossy black finish to the back of neck. The neck is made from Maple and the fingerboard itself is made from rosewood, the main body is constructed from Solid Alder. The neck is 35" in length and features a complete 2 octave, 24 fretboard. The bass features active electronics: two humbucker pickups, master tone, master volume, 3 position blend and a booster flick switch. All hardware is finished in black and stock, except the addition of some straplock attachment posts at both upper horn and base. Manufactures Spec: http://usa.yamaha.co...ver/?mode=model The bass is fully operational (stretch at a star wars pun intended); however, it probably requires fresh strings and a tweak to the neck action/ bridge set-up to remove some slight fret buzz. With regards to condition, it is not perfect but given its age, the bass is in very good condition, as a bedroom player I have not taken it into live action and I believe the past users also took good care of it, as it only has two small signs of scratches on the rear of bass body, undetectable when in use. The back of the neck is in perfect condition with no chips etc. I would say the bass is built like a tank, I bought the bass on the basis that I had owned a 4 string "entry level" Yamaha bass for over ten years without any issue, I also had purchased it from another basschatter I've tried to capture all the key parts and identify the two scratches on the rear but if you would like to see further please feel free to email. Please find multiple pictures in the follow link: http://s781.photobuc...Yamaha%20RBX775 I was also contemplating providing sound clips, but I have no recording devices, and well as much as I would like to be, I'm not the greatest of players and couldn't do it. BUT, I have often watched several videos on youtube featuring this bass and these particular chaps (see below) who have enough chops such that you can understand how clean the bass tone is: Megadeth Medley: https://www.youtube....h?v=uBN77PN-W_o (Credit to Tony Dickinson) Funk/slap Jam: https://www.youtube....h?v=aNoln_Hu8vk (Credit to Elson Hevert) The tone i'd describe is very bright and crunchy, and would be very well suited for genres like prog rock and thrash metal. If you were considering this as a first bass, i'd be honest to the customer, and would say it would require some additional EQ assistance to get a really warm sound like Jack Bruce, (I know fretless vs fretted are totally different beasts); however if you are looking for a tone that cuts throw the mix, you can't go wrong with this particular bass. I bought this second hand and unfortunately do not have any original manuals/ packaging. I am currently only considering local pickup at the minute, I'd be happy to provide test sessions if arranged suitably prior. This sale does not include sale of a strap, i may happen to chuck a strap in your direction for free but it is worn and could come lose and only suitable for temporary usage, i.e. i accept no responsibility for malfunctioning of strap and subsequent damage. I am selling as i don't find myself playing metal much nowadays and hence don't need the 5-string. My beloved 4 string does 99% of what i want to play. Thanks, Owen
5. Bump, moving to Derby on Thursday, will be in derby during the week most weekends, but also in luton and loughborough for the occasional weekend. Great price, need to sell to fund my triathlon needs.
6. I have a Boss ME 50B pedal for sale it's in fully working condition, only been used in the bedroom / rehearsal rooms and never gigged so in very good condition. It's a bit much for my actual needs and i have a smaller pedal sitting in a cupboard that will do the job. So selling to raise a bit of capital. Pick up for £95, Loughborough ( Sometimes in Luton once a month.) Delivery ~ £105. No PSU or cables will be included as i'll need them for the other pedal.
7. Also i bought a 5 string bass of a similar model, without playing it. This is risky and i don't recommend doing so but i was happy to take risk based mostly on the RBX-170.
8. I've had mine for around 7 or 8 years and find it fantastic, obviously it's not your boutique bass but for a budget bass you want as much quality as you can get and i can tell you that i haven't had problem with mine, special point of interest is the finish, it's near indestructible. Imagine an enthusiastic teen playing in a small room for many years and it still has only a couple marks on the back which haven't even broken the lacquer. I'd be absolutely gutted if mine got stolen and would recommend to anyone who's starting out. Owen
9. Picture Bump, please note that some of the marks on the amp in the last picture is dust but the flash has seemed to make them look like scratches.
10. Yeah sure i'll try and get some up by tomorow night, is that ok? could get some up by tonight if they are urgent and the potential sale is dependant on them but quite busy.
11. Price drop bump, need to sell to buy a nice little ashdown combo
12. Hi there Behringer "ultra bass Flanger" BUF300 - All functional and in like new condition. Doesn't come with psu but does come with original packaging and instructions. £14 + postage Cheers Owen
13. This is more of a feeler depending on if i can get what i want in another sale on basschat
14. All SOLD Please Delete
15. The LH500 is a very good amp, i've had one for about 8 months and never had a problem with it, the amp produces a very clean sound and there is plenty of headroom, the fan is very quiet, not sure if it's my amp but mine needs 10 seconds to warm up, this could be as there is a valve pre-amp but as i said i don't know why. Would make an ideal step up from a beginners practice amp, or even as a backup for someone who's out frequently gigging. I hope this feedback helps any potential buyers
16. I remember wanting one of these ages ago, they just look amazing. Good price as well comparing it to imuso. £700 new HA i just somehow don't think so. Have a bump for a lovely looking combo.
