  6. A little curious. Is this still available? Would shipping to Sweden be possible?
  7. Thanks. Most seem happy with the Aguilar preamp. Maybe I'll get one of those 3-band obp's and let a tech take care of what needs sorting.
  8. Thanks for the input. All of your comments are valuable to me. Keep them coming. This bass has 18V in the on-board pre. I've heard good things about Aguilar preamps. Could I buy the 3-band version and wire it to my current MEC pots? (stacked volume/bal, mid, stacked treble/bass)
  9. That's a good thought. The existing preamp isn't Bartolini, though. I think it's an MEC. It has a single trim pot in it. I'm not sure exactly what it does.
  10. I recently acquired a Thumb NT6, which is lovely in every way conceivable, but one. It has Bartolinis in it but probably not the Bartolini pre. Anyhow, the treble pot just produces hiss. It doesn't bring out the attack in the note or the string sound itself. I've read somewhere they put the frequency at 10KHz. It makes no sense to me. So, what are your recommendations for replacing the on-board preamp? The Thumb has three pots, a stacked volume/blend, a mid, and a stacked treble/bass. Do I keep the pots and just hook them up with any 3 band preamp or do I have to buy a special kit just for this? I've heard good stuff about the Aguilar, and someone recommended a Glockenklang, which, funnily enough, state their treble frequency at 18KH(!!!). What other options are there? Grateful for any input
  11. I've just bought a TC Staccato and I'm considering their cabs as well. I've seen the cabs stacked vertically and I really like the idea of combining easy transportation, flexibility in placement and the thought of getting both ground contact as well as definition from something closer to the ears. Is there anyone on the forum that has tried and experienced this? What is the sound dispersion like? How do they compare to a 4x10 cab on the ground? Should I go for two RS210s or combine an RS212 with the RS210?
  12. Hi, Is this cab still available? If so, how much would shipping to Stockholm Sweden be? Thanks
