1. aaaaaaaaaaah a 'Combiner' Pedal is what I am after! Morley seem to do one and its a tad expensive for such a simple pedal... oh well atleast they exist!

2. Just got home and had a look at the SFX site. The Mix pedal is almost exactly what im after! just that it has no external volume or foot switch for either input... Getting closer though cheers!

3. Thanks the Behringer comes close but its still not what im after. Nothing wrong with the LS-2, again its not what im after either. Literally something like a passive vol/vol setup like you find in jazz basses but imagine the 2 inputs as the pickups and the output is, well the jack output! might have to make one myself shouldnt be too hard im thinking

4. Hi,

Im currently trying to find a pedel that is simply 2 inputs each with their own volume and ideally, each with their own cut off switches, that lead into 1 output. The plan being to mix 2 channels of effects that branch off the big muff pi. Is there something out there thats compact, small, cheap and not the BOSS LS-1?

ta.

5.
+1 There are lots of options out there but Dave's valve ODs are real nice. I have the VT2 twin which gives me the flexibility I need with just a bit of grit on channel 1 and then full-on drive on channel 2, great control with EQ for both channels etc. Pricey but good. THere are simpler and cheaper DHA options.
+1 using a DHA VT2 twin pretty much gets me that Jack Bruce tone!

6. Hello I bought a used Qtron+ off a fellow bass chatter and now i have had a chance to use it in a rehearsal I have come to find its just too loud and I am unable to reduce the volume anymore, even when I turn the internal trimpot down. Switching from Low Pass to Mixed doesnt seem to make a difference either. Nor does playing softly.

Is this a faulty Qtron+ or are they all like it?

Cheers.

Boxx chorus ensemble - 1
Digitech Whammy - 1
Dunlop Bass Cry Baby - 1
DHA VT2 Twin - 1
EHX Bass Micro Synth - 1
EHX POG2 - 1
EHX Qtron+ - 1
Guyatone MD-3 delay - 1
Sansamp Bddi - 2
Way huge swollen pickle - 1

Thought Id sort in alphabetical order just encase this kicks off :)

8. Since I own one of these and am having endless amounts of joy creating incredible synth tones from this tiny box of wonders Id thought Id clear a few things up to all those keen on buying one but have researched and read all the horror stories about the new version.

ok so to begin with I'm playing a passive bass but with stupidly high output pickups (more than i bargained for!) and just my bass plugged into my Little Mark II head I have to keep the Gain to 10 o'clock to not clip the amp.

Now reading all the horror stories I'll list the ones I am aware of:

-Sound cutting out early when sustaining a long note,
-Sub Octave voice distorting when pushed,
-Not enough Headroom for each voicing.

Well I admit upon first plugging mine in I had the distorted Sub Octave when playing hard, however the sound wouldn't cut off for a good 20-30 seconds when holding a note and the same volume of the True-Bypass was reached when the the Guitar Voicing was just above half way.

Now you see, the clever buggers at Electro Harmonics added an internal gain trim-pot inside the Micro Synth. This, which so many people fail to realise is mentioned in the Instruction manual. Factory setting is about 70-75%, apparently set for use with your average passive single coil bass. After adjusting through trail and error, I found the right setting.

And what do you know, all the above issues are no longer an issue and the pedal works 100%, notes sustain for ages (although not forever) and the volumes of each voicing are all balanced except the square wave which is always going to sound huge! No distortion from the Suboctave.

To conclude, this is such a hell of a pedal with many many many usable settings. 10/10!

9. Bought a Qtron+ off Seyton.

Couldnt be happier with the sale, top bloke. He was very patient while I emailed the other people who have bought previously off him to check feedback. Postage was super quick and of a high standard of packaging. Item exactly as described.

Highly recommended!

Matt.

10. Problem is all sorted now thanks to the amazing people at the Bass Merchants for isolating the problem to my bass and Martyn Booth to find out what it was and fix it! Turns out it was a short circuit in my bass as I have a pickup selector switch which I must have knocked mid way through a set and that had resulted in it rotating and connecting to something it shouldn't have.

Ended up replacing the drivers in my Epifani cab anyway as one of the drivers had developed a annoying buzz before the incident at the gig (this is why I assumed it was the drivers failing at the gig) So I now have a 600w at 8 Ohms 2x12! which suits me more as I can stack another 2x10 or 4x10 on top to add more presence at larger gigs.

All sorted and not much money spent! Thanks again all of those mentioned. I am utterly relieved...

Thanks for the recommendation anyway Markstuk.

11. Alas it finally happened, both drivers in my Epifani UL212 have gone...

So on the look out for some new 12" drivers. Been looking at Celestion, Eminence, Fane and B&C. I have contacted Bass Gallery in London for replacement Epifani (Eminence) drivers twice now but they have forgotten about me and I shouldn't have to call them a 3rd time...

So I'm asking for the advise of the experienced minds on this forum to see what would be the best option for me and the shell of the Epifani cab. I have tried testing one driver at a time to see if its just one of them that has blown but they both seem to be distorting badly... I trust Epifani Cabs are well built? considering the £700-£800 they are new!!! so I'm keen on the idea of repairing it rather than scraping or giving it away.

If it is worth it I might stretch to acouple of B&C drivers but I'm looking at £200 for each driver. Plus I don't want to just shove acouple of expensive replacements in if something in the cab is faulty other than the drivers and risk blowing the new drivers again.

I live near Colchester, Essex quite near the Suffolk border. If there are any Cabinet technicians out there not to far away from me Id gladly travel to get a professional analysis if anyone knows of anyone in that area.

Many Thanks.

Matt.

12. I bought a EHX POG2 and DHA VT2 from Owain.

I sent the money Wednesday morning 8am he sent the pedals same day 10am! They arrived next day, packaged with plenty of padding. Very happy with the condition of each pedal! Top man for communication too! Ta very much pleasure doing business.

13.
Does exactly what it says on the tin.

One loop and a tuner output so you can tune silently. It's the size of a zvex with 2 footswitches. Pics available if needed. - £25 shipped.

I also have some George L's jacks in the 'Other musically related gear for sale' forum.
If its True Bypass Ill take it. Cheers.
