make a hole in your pocket... :)

2.
Just bought another bass, a nice Fender, not sure what it is exactly, but I the body (neck is newer) is pretty old, early 60's I think. Anyway the bridge is quite tatty and I'm considering swapping it out for a Badass11. Just can't find one here in the UK. Tried google, tried Bass Centre, they are out of stock. There seems to be shortage of them. Can anyone suggest where I might be able to get hold of one, preferably on-line. Many thanks
well hello... forget badass bridges!!!!!
buy a hipshot fender replacement twice as good truly!!!!!

3. hi there
if you can get hold of a boss bf2b bass flanger on ebay BUY ONE!!!!!!
WHY? because they chorus & flange the upper frequencies only & with some tweeking sound
as good if not better than some pedals three times the price" l....therefore leaving the low end untouched!!!!!
the reason they sound so good?????ANALOG.....of course.
Thats the same that I found with mine, wasn't sure if it was my imagination after seeing all the reviews about the tone of the bass. But it does seem very weak and a bit "hifi" for my liking. It's such a lovely bass in every other way so i'd hate to part with it. Decided on the Wizard 84's so hopefully they will help.
hi there nordstrand nj4s for a jazz bass sound wonderful" imo
the di marzio ultra jazz are also good (sadowsky basses use these)
lindy fralins are also a good choice" but i would not recommend fender custom shop!!!!!!
there not as good in the tone department.....
I did seriously consider going for the Nordy pups but there was just a nagging feeling that I did not want to take out the original pups as that felt like it was taking out the heart of a vintage bass and made little sense. Not saying that this is wrong just that it made no sense to me.

I have since bought the Sadowsky pre and then Aguilar Tone Hammer. I opted to keep the Aggie and moved on the Sadowsky simply because the ability to adjust the mids on the Tone Hammer made such a difference to me.

One thing is for sure that there is no way that I could go back to the jazz without a pre-amp now as the difference in tone is huge.
i totally agree about removing pickups from vintage basses" by adding the pre amp onboard or outboard" the depth & width
of tone available is magnified
i personally have been disapointed with sadowsky products simply because of the price"hype" build " & final product
quality.
lastly your 100% on the money about mids" this is where the refined tones truly are.
