  1. Hello all. Here we have the amp section from my workhorse Trace combo of 25 years. I no longer have the speaker or enclosure unfortunately (Looong story!) Anyway, up until recently I'd been gigging the amp in a GP7 head unit from the same era (just swapped out the GP7 for my GP12) It's a 200W amp, by the way.

The amp recently died on me during a gig (Massive howling sounds coming from the speaker!! 🙄) The exact same happened about ten years previous. When I got it repaired back then, the repairer told me that the fault was with something called a "power dropping resistor" becoming detached from the circuit board due to heat - I think that was what he said, I could be wrong!

Anyway, this time I've chosen not to have it fixed, but rather to pass it on to somebody who fancies repairing it, or needs the spares. (I've put the GP7 unit back in the head shell and I'm selling it separately, so all that remains is these guts from the GP12) Couple of the white graphic slider caps are missing, not sure where they got to. 🤔

I've decided it's time to modernise, sell all my Trace gear and save my back 😁 - Have just bought something black and yellow! 👀

So this is free to whoever fancies it. I'm based in Liverpool but if it needs posting, all I'd ask is for the P & P to be covered (it is reasonably heavy!)

  2. Just bought a Trace cab from Geoff. This guy is the real deal; a BCer that goes the extra mile. Geoff was kind enough to go out of his way to meet me en route to my gig so I could get the cab off him. A massive help, cheers Geoff, hope we can do business again in the future mate ;-)

  3. Trace BLX 130 combo for sale. In cracking condition for its age, both cosmetically and functionally. Only issue worth mentioning is that the XLR D.I. out doesn't seem to work (common fault on the old Traces)
Great tight sounding little amp, perfect for smaller gigs and rehearsals. A bit weighty though, so it's pick up only I'm afraid.

    Based in Liverpool.

  4. Denis bought my BB1025 and was a pleasure to deal with throughout the transaction. I was a little daunted sending my bass all the way to Latvia but the reaction from Denis once he'd received the bass was priceless! I don't think I've ever had a happier buyer :-) Denis is a top bloke and I'd happily deal with him again :-)

  5. Wear or not, that is one incredible bass!! These things are meant to be played and it's great to see that this has been and wears the scars.

Absolutely beautiful thing mate. Someone (with more money than me!) will be in for a treat. All the best with the sale :-)
