2. No trades I'm afraid... ok, maybe an Atelier Z or Moollon 5er... long shot though
3. thanks Bubinga5! I know Bacchus is not well-known in Europe but they're very well respected in Japan, they mainly produce non-export instruments. much better than F**der in my opinion, especially in this price range.
4. Yeah, I love Tim's playing. This bass strung with D'Addario Chromes really nails his sound.... although he would probably sound good on any old bass...
5. great.... come round for some bass noodling! just send me a basschat message when you're in town
6. After a lot of deliberation I've decided to put my Moollon P-Classic Bass up for sale. This is a really great bass and I'll probably come to regret it but got major gas for some new things (amongst others a Moollon J-Bass 5er). I bought this about a year ago on Basschat from member Castagne (thanks for letting me use the pics). The bass is, apart from a few dents and scratches, in great condition. I can send some more detailed photos via email. Hand-made by Korean luthier Young Joon, this bass was modelled after a pre-CBS P. Nitro finish, pickups based on Young Joon's 1959 and 1960 Fender Precision Basses, rated at 10.5k ohms. Custom-designed, tested, and built Pre-CBS-spec tuners, fantastic neck, very easy to play, no dead spots. Costs about $2000 new (plus shipping and taxes) Here's a glowing BassPlayer review of a Moollon J-Bass, with some interesting info on Moollon. 8.
Hi There What does the BJ stand for by the way Thanks
I don't know to be honest.... probably not what we think it means.... It's certainly in the tradition of silly Japanese model names like Hardpuncher or Espionage... Their new series is called BJB, so maybe someone told them to change ; ) Anyway... dodgy name, brilliant bass
