Love those late 80s early 90s Jap Fenders. Stick some top spec electrics & pups in them and you have one of the best Fenders available.

  2. Bought a Pedaltrain Mini board from Daniel.
It was a smooth transaction all the way with good comms and the board arrived quickly and well-packed.
I can recommend Daniel as a good person to trade with confidently.

  3. One of the single greatest bands in early form with Lowell George; been into them since I was 13 in 1975.
Only other rock n funk bands that deserve equal billing are Tower of Power and The Meters IMO.

  4. traded my TC Corona (chorus) + some cash for DiscoTetak's Iron Ether Polytope (extreme chorus). The whole deal was easy to do with great communications from DT. We discovered that the Croatian postal service is quicker than Royal Mail in the UK too, as we both posted our pedals on same day and the Polytope arrived first. The pedal arrived in excellent conditions, works 100% and is exactly as described. Thanks DT; I recommend you to anyone thinking of doing a deal with you.

They have a real beauty in the gallery Camden, it's a 64 in only white, I have played it and it's to die for however, they are asking £4500 so a 63 in lake placid looks like great value to me. Good luck

Thanks RJB, it is a lovely bass this 63P and I think it is very keenly priced. There's been quite a bit of interest from various quarters, but nobody has yet come up with enough cash to take it home.....Luckily I am in no big rush.

    Hello,

Can someone please tell whats happened to Phil Boot guitars had alot of work done in 1998 but now I have seen only an underwear shop in its place in Long Eaton. He'll be in his early sixties now, but someone who's been making them for so long might be in a corner of a work shop in garage somewhere...anyone...please ...

    thanks

That's a blast from the past, not seen Phil for 12 years or so! he is perhaps the finest repair guy in the country. The Paulman EUB he (along with Paul McNab) made me is an amazing instrument. Last I heard he was working for Toyota in Derby, but like I say not seen him for a long time. Would love to get in touch with him again.

I used to use Phil Boot too - great technician and all-round lovely bloke. I heard Paul McNab died 4/5 years ago now and Phil was put out of business (due to cashflow) by some dubious characters who ordered a couple of guitars from him and never paid for them, on top of this his daughter was ill in Australia; so he shut up shop. Last I heard was he was working in the Toyota factory too. A great loss to all guitarists and bass players around Notts.
